Frequently asked questions
Common questions about what the six skills do, what they need to run, and how your material is handled.
Do I have to install all six?
No. Each skill is a separate folder and works on its own, so you can install only the ones you need.
We do suggest installing them together, though. lesson-workflow decides the unit split, the lesson flow and the slide outline, and the other five take that decision as their input. Without it you still get usable files, but they will not line up with one another the way they do when the whole set runs in order.
Which parts come out in Korean, which in English?
That split is fixed, and it follows one rule: what you use to plan and to talk to yourself is Korean, what happens in the classroom is English.
Korean output: the lesson plan (지도안), rule explanations, the assessment rubric, and the body of the parent notice.
English output: the teacher talk script, sentence scaffolds, the slide text students see, and the worksheet questions.
This is deliberate. Materials a student handles stay in the target language; everything that is really you talking to yourself stays in the language you think in.
Can I use it without a textbook?
lesson-workflow needs a textbook — it reads the unit and decides what the lesson teaches, so without source material there is nothing to start from.
The other five can run from your own lesson plan alone. Where a part genuinely needs the textbook text — the original slide wording in a slide deck, the example sentences in a vocabulary table — that part is left blank and marked “teacher to confirm” rather than filled in with something plausible.
Where do the files go? Does anything leave my computer?
The skills write only to an outputs/ folder inside the working directory you started them in. They do not write anywhere outside that directory.
They do not call external URLs, and they do not send your textbook or the files they produce to us. You still need the internet while they run, because your agent talks to its model.
One thing to be clear about: your agent and its model are a separate product from a separate company. Whatever you type into that agent — including your textbook — goes to whoever provides it, under their terms. That is true whether or not you use our skills.
You can check this yourself — how to verify it.
Can I hand the output straight to a class?
No. Every output is a draft for you to review first, and each skill ships with a teacher checklist (교사 검수 항목) for exactly this reason.
This matches what our terms say: the product does not replace your professional judgement, and its output is not guaranteed to be accurate or to meet your curriculum standards. Read it, correct it, then teach from it.
Why is the 2022 curriculum achievement-standard code blank?
That is by design. Achievement-standard codes cannot be reached by inference without a real risk of getting them wrong, and a wrong code in a lesson plan is worse than an empty field.
So the skills leave that field for you to fill in from the official standard yourself.
What about textbook copyright?
Copyright in a textbook stays with whoever holds it — normally the publisher. This product grants you no rights whatsoever in any third-party textbook or teaching material. Whether you may use a given textbook is between you, your school and that publisher; you are responsible for holding the rights or permission you need for anything you feed into the skills.
The files you produce are a different matter: you own what you make. You may use them commercially, including in paid tutoring, and we claim no rights over them.
Both points are set out in full in our terms of service.
Can I use it at a hagwon / private academy?
Yes. Nothing in the package limits it to state schools, so private academies and tutoring are fine.
The one thing to expect is the field noted above: the 2022 curriculum achievement-standard code is left blank for you to fill in, so use it that way.
